Churchill Island Heritage Farm
Connected to Phillip Island by a bridge, Churchill Island brings together a historic working farm, gardens, wetlands and coastal walking trails. Visitors can explore the heritage buildings, see farm activities and enjoy views across Western Port Bay.

What is Churchill Island?
Churchill Island is a small island off Phillip Island in Victoria, reached by a bridge. Its Heritage Farm precinct combines historic farm buildings and gardens with working-farm activities and walks through a landscape of wetlands, open grassland and coastal views. It offers a quieter, history-focused stop to pair with other places on Phillip Island.
The island has a long connection with Bunurong people and is also associated with early European farming in Victoria. Visitors can explore the historic homestead and cottages, see heritage gardens and, depending on the day’s schedule, watch demonstrations such as sheep shearing, cow milking, working dogs or whip cracking.
What to see and do
- Explore the farm precinct:Look around the historic buildings and gardens, and learn about the island’s farming heritage.
- Watch farm activities:Demonstrations are scheduled activities; check the official site for what is running on your visit date.
